Clark Prep 9th Graders

NEW ORLEANS – On Tuesday, January 31, Recovery School District (RSD) Superintendant Patrick Dobard will visit Joseph S. Clark Preparatory High School (Clark Prep) and speak with the 9th grade students.  Dobard is a native of Tremé and had three brothers attend Clark in the 1980s and his father still lives just a few blocks from the school.

Dobard will speak about what it takes to overcome adversity and the power of self-determination.  Joe Davis Jr., 9th grade student at Clark Prep is looking forward to Supt. Dobard’s visit, “I think it’s a positive thing for us to experience because he’s from here in New Orleans and he’s successful and does well by the community.  I can learn a lot from him.”

This speaking engagement is the first one that Supt. Dobard will give in the upcoming weeks as he plans schools visits throughout the District.
