NEW
ORLEANS, LA, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 – All five FirstLine Schools public
charter schools will remain closed through Friday, August 31. This will allow all staff and families time
to return to the city after the storm has passed and network personnel time to assess
each school and ensure school facilities are ready to reopen for students on Tuesday,
September 4. FirstLine’s schools are:
Samuel J. Green Charter School, Arthur Ashe Charter School, John Dibert
Community School, Langston Hughes Academy, and Joseph S. Clark Preparatory High
School. We will resume school on Tuesday, September 4, following the
Labor Day holiday.

updates will be released to the press and can also be found on FirstLine’s
website (www.firstlineschools.org).
